so Trumpers like DDM and Surt want the people lied to... interesting.

Trump didn't downplay it enough.

He should have never enforced lockdowns at the borders.

I mean I could understand the "outrage" if Trump had gone "you know I'm gonna downplay it cuz I think it will help me win in November". But apparently on the tape he said he didn't want to panic people. That is the reason he gives.

Sidenote: So far I have no issues with what he has said to Woodward, but holy shit was it dumb for him to do EIGHTEEN interviews with the man. If his aides couldn't talk him out of it they should have asked Ivanka to try.

-Trumpers have insisted that Trump has not lied about Covid-19 and the dangers since at least February

*it's proven that Trump lied*

-Trumpers now flip the narrative so Trump comes out shining

They're in a cult and Trump is their Jim Jones.

I don't see where it was proven he lied.

🙂

But Hilary, somehow his 20,000+ lies must be Obama's fault.

They're in a cult; they can't see past the orange Kool-Aid. Anyhow.

Trump's on tape acknowledging just how deadly and dangerous covid-19 can be, while publicly telling people to not worry about it and that's it's just going to pass quickly.

Meanwhile the US is about to pass 190,000 deaths.

😆

Interesting, so Trump was coming from a good place when he talked about it?

Seems like the MSM trying to gaslight again.

I love it how I've posted and thoroughly discussed the details, over and over, the published, peer reviewed, and results duplicated studies about how completely ineffective lockdowns were. Yet, the idea that lockdowns were effective is still so pervasive that many governments still have lockdown restrictions.

Even Trump fell for this B.S. And he should be held just as accountable for the lives that were lost and will continue to be lost from the lockdown (economic stress related deaths, lack of access to healthcare due to the lockdowns, etc.).

Dr. Fauci contradicts 'bombshell' report claiming President Trump deceived Americans about the pandemic

Lol oh this is too good.

Well, like I said, I think the Trump vs. Fauci crap is just that: crap. It's lies to try to make it seem like they are at odds. I remember they tried to get Fauci with an anti-Trump gotcha and Fauci actually got pissed at them and shut them down.

Also, I don't believe Fauci created the virus with Obama's money like Plandemic folks state. Fauci is Fauci.

Yeah, but you have a number of other wacky or gaslighting ideas DDM.

"Fines are expected to range between $400 and $6,000, but the exact amount will be confirmed by Public Security MInister Geneviève Guilbault in the coming days."

""Issuing fines of hundreds of dollars is not pleasant, but unfortunately I think we've gotten to the point where we need to make irresponsible people understand that their actions are dangerous to the rest of society," said Francoeur."

Absolutely insane.

And there's people who are cheering this on.

When we finally have research that has been peer reviewed, results duplicated, and published in reputable journals that show us that lockdowns have no benefit to SARS-CoV-2 mortality, any country that still continues to participate in measures which WILL kill more people (due to stress related deaths and inaccessibility to non-emergency medical care) have crossed the line into murder.

They are literally killing their own people with lockdowns and economic ruin. From the beginning, it was only supposed to be 14 days of lockdown to flatten the curve. Lockdowns were NEVER about stopping the spread of the coronavirus beyond any time frame except two weeks JUST to flatten the curve so our hospitals were not overwhelmed. That was always the point. Because epidemiologists already know the economic ruin kills far more people than any known VRI including COVID-19. Not even Fauci recommended super long lockdowns and he's always been more on the conservative side of how to approach this.

It's quite frustrating that governments have lost their shit and continue very stupid policies like that.

If the trend stays the same, the US will be at 200K deaths before the end of next week.

Good news or bad news, deaths are slowing down, signficiantly, in Texas and California. Florida is experiencing some hefty deaths, though. But, new cases in Florida have plummeted so we should see Florida finally getting far fewer deaths, soon.

The US case situation has significantly dropped and so have deaths.

NY, NJ, TX, CA, and FL are the top 5 most "deadly" states by raw count.

Sweden finally dropped below the US in deaths per million (dropping to 11th place) completely invalidating the entire approach the US took.

Good news or bad news, the US also dropped to 10th place. That's not good news at all, IMO.

Mexico and Panama may surpass the US and Sweden, soon, as well.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1104709/coronavirus-deaths-worldwide-per-million-inhabitants/

Very bad news: France is going through round 2 and may pass up many other countries in the deaths per million rating.

UK is having a rise in new cases, as well. Seems like everywhere that locked down with draconian measures is going through a round 2.

Australia's deaths just not seem to match their new case trends which means their testing is off. They have more dying than can match up with their new tests even with the 21 day delay.

Also, more recent research my poopoo my position that N95 Masks work to prevent VRIs. I'm not willing to "give up" that position just yet. I'll look into the research a bit more before reviewing it and posting about it, here. I'm of the position that N95s work anywhere from just a little bit to cutting VRIs down by half (that's what the research has shown) with surgical masks providing anywhere from a tiny benefit to no benefit and cloth masks providing no benefit to an actual detriment. This is based on the credible high quality science. So we have a range of:

N95: Highly likely it helps but save it for the medical professionals
Surgical Mask: Might work a little or not at all
Cloth Mask: Doesn't work, may actually cause harm.

To people like Rob and Whirly, how do you respond to this? Is he lying? Or just wrong?

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/09/11/us-coronavirus-data-is-disturbing-dr-fauci-says-in-disputing-trump.html

U.S. coronavirus data is ‘disturbing,’ Dr. Fauci says, disputing Trump’s claim that U.S. is ‘rounding the corner’

“When you have a baseline of infections that are 40,000 per day and you have threats of increased test positivity in certain regions of the country, such as the Dakotas and Montana and places like that. ... You don’t want to start off already with a baseline that’s so high,” he said.

He added that the concerns are heightened by the approaching fall and winter seasons, which will likely push people indoors where the virus can spread more easily.

Fauci said the U.S. will be in a “more precarious situation” in the fall and winter and if the country continues to report the current level of new cases everyday, it will put the U.S. at “a disadvantage right from the very beginning.” Over the past couple of weeks, Fauci and other top health officials have repeatedly warned that cases must continue to decline as the country approaches colder weather.
