Both math and maths are short for the word mathematics. Math is the preferred term in the United States and Canada. Maths is the preferred term in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and other English-speaking places.

You've learned something new, I hope.

But, you should get off this trend where you think I'm the "enemy." Sorry, not a ring-leader of anything on KMC.

WHO warns against the dangers of using lockdowns to control the coronavirus. Recomends not to use lockdowns.

“We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus,” Nabarro said.

“The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it.”

Nabarro said that there’s significant harm caused by tight restrictions, particularly on the global economy.

“Lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer,” he said.

It's nice to see the WHO catching up to science I pointed out many months ago. But this is a bit too late. Likely, millions will die from the economic damage from the lockdowns. 1-2 million in the US, alone. With tens of thousands estimated to have already died from the consequences of lockdowns.

LOL! So the flipped.

Why should these people be taken seriously at all? Someone remind me.

They cannot take it, because it is made from stem cell lines harvest from aborted fetuses.

You wanna bet, if covid was going to kill one of these deplorables and eating a fresh live fetus was a cure, they'd do it without a second thought.

You guys really like to talk about using baby fetuses for...purposes.

They're not democrats, they'd give it a second and maybe a third thought and then do it.

WorldoMeters has the US surpassing 220K today

We are talking about it, because Trump did it, and the top three anti-abortion organizations are totally okay with it.

yup

so basically y'all are just pretending to give a shit about aborted fetuses, for political posturing and peer approval

That probably means we'll be at 225K at some point this week.

And probably puts us close to 240k by the end of the month if the trends continue.

No way, totally shocking they'd be hypocrites.

It really gets the ol' noggin' joggin', doesn't it? It's almost like they don't care about the fetus at all, and it's about punishing women for having sex.

Yeah, 225K by Sunday seems likely.

Yup, as predicted by the IHME back in July. "More Than 200,000 US Deaths by November 1".

It's always been about control and punishment, nothing else.

Okay, and? I'm waiting for the point, other than politicians once again being hypocrites.

Ontario is back on lockdown.

Movies opened for a few weeks and now are closed again, same with dine in restaurants.

Hopefully this goes away soon.

Good news: The UK death figures may not be as high as thought for COVID-19.

It's possible they are over-inflating their numbers. So while the UK has disastrously high deaths per million, it may not be as bad as the official figure makes it out to be.

If you ever tested positive for COVID-19, and you die, your death gets counted as a COVID-19 death. So if you tested positive for it in March and you die from a car crash in October, it's a COVID-19 death. That's even more fast and loose than the US's approach.

That's nutty where can I read that?
