So it turns out that it's because he thinks the UK, I'm guessing because of Brexit, has more secure borders than the rest of Europe. I mean, yeah, it's an island, but still.
Also, Ireland isn't included in the travel ban because he legit seems to think that Ireland is part of the UK.

It's obvious you just don't wanna see it so I'm done.
In fact, I'm so sick of your playin' dumb BS that I've finally decided to put your butt on ignore... dickwad. 👆

Of those cases in the U.S. (pictured above), at least 48 were diagnosed in individuals who were repatriated to the United States on government charter flights from Wuhan, China, and from the Diamond Princess cruise ship. But many others are cases of unknown origin, or potential community spread, where there is no known nexus to travel.
Unknown origin or nexus of travel.
Meaning hick towns with no airports and people who never go anywhere?
That is a good question. Why would "flyover states" or other backwaters get this virus? Who has been visiting these states, where nothing ever happens?

Politicians.

Trump's been making that error since he took office, he's not changing his views now, facts be damned as usual.

Still an awful shame though. So much death. And the amount of people that are either panicking too much or too little really leaves little middle-ground, which is where I imagine most people should be.
I don't think there is a lower-bound of reasonableness to "panic too little." 0 panic is the correct amount of panic.

Eh, he started off well enough, trying to tell people not to panic, but there's obviously something wrong with his administration when you consider their response to the virus itself.Him talking about how he "knows so much about it, he could have been a doctor" was unnecessary shite, and honestly comes across as making light of a serious situation. And this weird travel ban isn't helping to make him look better either.
More cringe from Trump, for sure. This is part of the "groan-worthy" stupidity from Trump.
Trump's going to officially declare a National Emergency over the corona virus.
In less than three weeks time he's gone from comments/views: "This is an overblown hoax perpetuated by the media and their Democrat allies" and "We have 15 cases, we'll have zero in a few days" to "NATIONAL EMERGENCY, THIS IS SERIOUS PEOPLE!"

😬i'm sure you know what i meant by what i said.
You imagine that people should be between panicking a lot to panicking too little.
And my position is that you shouldn't even be on a panicking sliding scale between "A little bit of panic" to "a lot of panic."
Unless you meant something else about your lower bound panic-o-meter limit?
For reference, I use meters similar to that, too:

Classic Trump. 👆
Fact: Trump's taxes cut taxes, on average, for all 7 income brackets. Everyone lies about this that dislikes Trump.
Fact: Trump consistently flip-flops to whatever position he feels makes him look best, hoping everyone is as stupid as he is and forgot he said "the other thing."

Would it be better if he continued to pretend it isn’t a problem? Sure, he was wrong initially but at least he is now trying to do something rather than stubbornly insist that it’s a media hoax.
TRUMPS OWN WORDS ON CORONAVIRUS
January 22: Trump on Coronavirus “We have it totally under control”!
January 24: Trump on Coronavirus “It will all work out well”!
January 30: Trump on Coronavirus “We have it very well under control, and I think its going to have a very good ending. So that I can assure you”!
February 2: Trump on Coronavirus “Well, we pretty much shut it down coming in from China, but we did shut it down!” No clue whatsoever of the severity of what’s coming.

I was noting the facts of what happened.
To answer your odd and unfounded mildly accusatory question: No, it would not be better if he continued his "media hoax!", "it's been contained!", "we'll have zero cases in a few days!" and similar dangerous lies he's said nonsense.
