and there's retards who are still trying to get everyone to ignore it. what exactly is their mental illness?

IMO, I think it's the people who went in with the "the seasonal flu kills 40-70k a year, so we shouldn't worry about covid-19" (or similar) approach and have continued to downplay covid-19 for almost a year now. In their minds they've gone too far to admit they were wrong.

...in addition it should be noted that our covid year does't end until mid-late march, so we're still approaching the end of 9th month. what will the real year's total be? 400k? half a million?

whatever it is, the trump-loyalist gaslight show will continue as scheduled (24/7/356)

Dunno. But we could be at 400K or over by end up Jan if the upward spike continues. We're losing over 3,000 a day some days now.

I'd not expect a change of strategy from those people.

I'll eat a crappy desert, but not all the time and wouldn't advertise it to others. 😬

So America is just going to stop caring about covid? Really?

I would say it's more like perhaps some folk who wrongly blamed Trump for deaths will suddenly stop holding the president responsible for any deaths once Biden is in office. I mean it's already known we focus more on negative covid stories than positive in our media. More focus on numbers going up and less mentions to when they go down.

The best part about it? There is no sequence of words they can string together to justify that hypocrisy. It's good stuff.

No, not America.

The MSM. Even then, there's still a chance they will still ham it up for fearmongering views.

i honestly don't know what they're supposed to do at this point. It's not like people are listening either way.

No, sensible Americas will continue to care and most news outlets will continue to cover the highs and lows of covid as it's doing now.

Let's hope so.

I would think a president (like any world leader) would bear some responsibility for the deaths of his citizens when they were ways to prevent it.

But yes, there should be more reporting of good news, obviously.

Yes but you're using logic.

This is a country where folk blamed Trump for a hurricane(WaPo put out an article saying he was complicit in a hurricane if you're wondering what I mean)

Logic is dead. We killed it, buried it. Then dug it up and put it on trial like that one pope. Then cut it's fingers off and tossed it into the river, but we kept the head on display.

I didn't even know you'd go across multiple threads to prove me right 👆

US panel endorses widespread use of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine

A tip: those who blamed Trump for deaths will credit him for this 🙂

You can talk about it bro.

It's just you also *best* open that mouth when deaths happen under Biden.

Let's be fair, America was never going to completely dodge covid, but his early games of inaction, endless lies, pretending the virus was contained and people should go about as normal directly lead to the shit-show covid-19 in American became. People here were going to get it and die, but it didn't need to be over 300K and counting. Not even close to that number.

^Gotta laugh at him talking about being fair 😆

How? You can talk about deaths, just leave the hypocrisy out of it 🙂

Tell you what: ask me for a pass. A hypocrisy pass. I'll give you it if you ask

So anyways: does a city that allows a covid testing site to be shut down in order to film a movie take this virus seriously?

Even if the decision was reversed...it was only done after backlash from the public. It's not like they said "a scientist privately contacted us and told us not to do this". This wasn't about science it was about pushback.

So is anyone willing to say that city officials who originally approved a testing site to be closed down for a film take this virus seriously? Anyone at all?
