how soon after your shot did that start
I got dosed 4:30 Wednesday, I woke up the next morning feeling like you feel when the flu is first starting and then it got worse into the night. Didn't get a fever, but the head and body aches where constant.
Woke up this morning feeling much better, not great, but vastly improved.

Ouch, sounds like you got it bad, sorry to hear that.
But glad you're recovering.
My recommendation for anyone else who wins the unlucky lottery of flu like symptoms: Electric blanket.
When I got the real flu, cranking a blanket up feels sooooo good. Like being in a sauna after a good work out.
Originally posted by RobtardAstra first dose is the problem for most if you are going to have it, for the others second dose. Hopefully and statistically I am out of the words for issues now. One of the earliest in Nigeria to get it. Quite pleased.
First dose I had zero problems aside from some soreness around the injection site.Am feeling much better now, seems to have been a 24hour or so thing for the 2nd dose.

For people who have not had covid, the first shot is usually the easy one. The second one is the one that causes a reaction.
For people who have had covid, the first shot tends to be the one that causes side effects since it is doing to the body what the second shot usually does for those who have not had the virus before.

Are the common symptoms worse for the first or second shot?
For the Oxford jab, it seems such side-effects are more common after the first shot. “When compared with the first dose, adverse reactions reported after the second dose were milder and reported less frequently,” the MHRA notes. However, for the Pfizer jab the reverse appears to be true. “Side-effects such as fever, chills, tiredness and headache throughout the body were more common after the second dose of the vaccine,” the US Centers for Disease Control said.
That's true, I was referring specifically to the ones being used in the US.
My dad got the moderna one and didn't have any issues after his first shot, but after the second had a fever, body aches, chills and felt tired for about a week.
Pfizer is much of the same, but usually less severe I guess because the dose isn't quite as much.
