I wasn't being snarky here btw. we could possibly be having the biggest mass-spreading that america has ever seen.

there are 4 (3) types of adults here:
1- those who are vaccinated and have now gone "back to normal", shopping maskless
2- those who are vaccinated, yet continue to make some effort to not catch covid, which includes masked shopping (like me, probably the minority)
3- antivaxxers who will not continue spreading the virus without a care, because only they matter. (most republicans)
4- antivaxxers who continue to mask up as instructed, out of honesty and consideration for public safety (no such americans exist)

There will be a lot of maskless intermingling between #1 and #3, and while nearly all of group #1 will be unharmed and non-contagious if they catch covid, they will still catch it.

Another thing to consider is that many businesses will still require mask-wearing, because they are not going to screen people at the door to see if they are vaccinated. It is too difficult to enforce one standard for vaccinated people and another for unvaccinated people. It is far easier to have one standard for everyone, and immediately know if you are in compliance just by looking at you. Businesses are probably not going to relax their rules until upwards of 70% of people are vaccinated, regarldess of what the CDC permits for people who are vaccinated now.

In practice few actually enforce the rule. Hear complaints all the time at grocery stores, sometimes a warning to the person, but no one ever actually tells them to leave.

I myself completely forgot to wear a mask at a Cumberland Farms. Had it tucked into my back pocket in prep for an outdoor walk with a friend, was expecting a drive through window at Dunkin Donuts for coffee, and he unexpectedly chose to go into Cumby's instead. No one said a word to me in the place, and I didn't even realize it until my friend pointed it out to me after we got back to the car.

Shop workers don't get paid enough to take the abuse involved in policing mask mandates. They get enough enforcing age restricted sales etc.

The operative word here being 'American'. Y'all are a bunch of silly gooses.

It is not like that here. People get confronted outdoors if they are not wearing one, and they get turned away at the door too.

This going to depend on place. For instance it sounds like a number of businesses in Florida are going to go mask free because of their recent governor's orders.

I'm a #2 here, and my wife is a #4.

Is the mass population still denying this came from the Microbiology lab in Wuhan?

Hope you are well Broly 👆

I got my vaccination today with Phizer. I was pretty damn happy...

Supposedly, some people in Alberta, Canada was mass booking appointments and then no-showing so people couldn't get vaccinated and let the vaccine spoil.

Go **** yourself.....

Alberta is one of the more Conservative provinces, yeah?

Yeah...I would say that.

But I always felt Canadian conservative was more left leaning than American....though it has gotten more right over the past few years.

Or so I have seen/heard but I could be wrong.
