The attached video in your link is amazing, showing each Fox host going from comments like: "this [covid-19] is just another attempt to impeach the president" to "this is a serious virus!", in a couple weeks. There's another video showing Trump many "this is nothing" style of comments.
The good thing, while the average Fox viewer won't care about the obvious dangerous recklessness that Fox and Trump pulled, they at least saw it and some might care.

Im not saying were better or anything, we just serve a different role so to speak.
The way i see it is people like rob/whirly/basher and surt/broly are like Internal Affairs for the politicians/media. They have their one specific faction that they point their critical eye at to expose inaccuracies and keep them honest.
Are they sometimes a bit overzealous in their attempts to expose certain things? sure. But thats not always a bad thing. Without said overzealousness by them and others like them im sure more injustices from both side would slip thru the cracks.
I see the role peple in the middle play as less to keep the media/politicians honest but to keep their watchers honest by calling out their occasionally over the top shenanigans and to keep some sort of even keel.
U might be a bit more critical of the rob/whirly/bash side than me, but im a bit more critical of the surt/broly side than u, so it all evens out.
