At this point that's likely only going to get some of the 'vaccine hesitant' people to go get a shot and I don't think that's the majority of the unvaccinated who are eligible but won't. The anti-vax crowd simply cannot be reasoned with; they're impervious to logic and science.

Military to Require Vaccines
Pentagon officials said Monday they will require all military service members to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
The move, announced by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby, comes after Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said August 9th that he would require all service members to be vaccinated starting in mid-September with or without full FDA approval.
Kirby said instructions and timelines will be distributed to Pentagon personnel soon.

A public opinion poll released Thursday provided new evidence that Floridians are gravely concerned about the current surge in COVID-19 cases, think it was largely preventable, and support requiring masks in public schools to protect public health. The Quinnipiac University Poll also found many Floridians are not happy with Governor Ron DeSantis' pandemic performance.
A significant majority—including more than half of voters in his own Republican Party—oppose the governor's efforts to punish school leaders who have defied the governor and implemented mask mandates. DeSantis' move to withhold salaries of school leaders for mandating masks for students is a "bad idea" to 69% of Floridians and a "good idea" to 25%.
Most people also disagree with another DeSantis move: banning local governments from imposing mask mandates. The poll found more than two-thirds of Florida adults think local officials should be able to require masks in indoor public spaces.

Except DeSantis saw how it worked out for Trump before he adopted this strategy. If it was a losing strategy for Trump, what made him think it would be a winning one for him? That is what I cannot wrap my head around.

Didn't they learn a thing after people started getting sick by self administering hydroxychloroquine because Trump told them he had a "feeling" it worked.
