"The media went nuts claiming this was irresponsible but it’s actually workingin"

It being irresponsible and potentially dangerous wasnt an outcome that was unforeseeable to anyone except our president and apparently u.

No, he was being honest. the people trying to claim Trump is to blame because he mentioned legit research are the ones being dishonest. Trump mentioning legit research in no way makes him even 1% responsible for people drinking a "fish tank cleaner".

Yet I never mentioned Trump or blamed him for it. Almost like you were strawmanning again. What a surprise.

If he was being honest why not actually name the stuff correctly?

Never said you were one of those people, seems like you have a guilty conscience.

He did.

So why call me biased then? Who am I supposedly being biased about?

Easy, an unbiased person wouldn't have been upset that Surtur made the distinction between the medicine and what the people actually took, nor would they call him dishonest for doing so.

I was upset, was I? That would be another strawman. It's like you can't help yourself.

Try and take your bias out of the equation for a moment and answer this

Is there a similarity between the words chloroquine and chloroquine phosphate?

If you weren't upset, why make a post calling surt out for making a distinction between the medicine and what the people actually took?

Why wouldn't I? It's a forum. Perhaps you only reply when you're upset. Maybe that's where the confusion lies.

He stated

There is a long road from what Trump said to... consuming fish tank cleaner

I simply pointed out that it isn't such a long road between chloroquine and chloroquine phosphate.

That seemed to be enough to trigger you into your trademark nonsensical strawmanning. Most things do though tbf.

It's telling that you choose to use the term "fish tank cleaner" rather than Chloroquine Phosphate which really isn't "a long way" from Chloroquine or Hydroxychloroquine to people who don't know.

You claim "it's telling" that he correctly described what the people took. what exactly is it telling?

Because multiple media outlets were either omitting the information that what they used was a fish tank cleaner or burying that information deep in their articles about it. Axios was just one of the few to correct the information. Yet I'm sure more people saw the original article so the damage has been done already.

So it needs to be made clear these people did not ingest medication, it was fish tank cleaner.

Says a lot about your personality that you would read "mad" from that. Very strange.

That didn't answer my question, let's try again.

Perfect. Everyone should go back to their lives and stop worrying about COVID-19.

If they didn't panic last year, they shouldn't be panicking this year.

I disagree that this is a good thing and here is why: it will just prolong the shutdowns.

Which means businesses stay closed longer, etc.

At this point people gotta suck it up and stay inside for their entertainment.

So why not just say "just to be clear that what they ingested was fish tank cleaner and not medication"

Why attempt to make it seem like it there's no tangible connection between the two things when there is.

That's not what I said. That'll be more strawmanning. 👍

Pointing out it's fish tank cleaner should have made it obvious it wasn't medication...that is why I was doing it.

There is no nefarious agenda here

Explain how that is using nib's logic.
nope.

The first death under the age of 18 has occurred in the USA.

That he would choose to not show the similar names of chemicals in order to try and make it seem like there was no similarity.

You might call it lying by omission.
