Coronavirus

"Italy: the real number of COVID-19 cases in the country could be 5,000,0000 (compared to the 119,827 confirmed ones) according to a study which polled people with symptoms who have not been tested, and up to 10,000,000 or even 20,0000,000 after taking into account asymptomatic cases, according to Carlo La Vecchia, a Professor of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology at the Statale di Milano University."

@DDM

More evidence for our prediction of 0.1% actual case fatality rate. Italy has around 15000 dead - more than half of which would have died this calendar year.

Scratcb in back of throat, lot of phlegm.

No other symptoms. Hoping this is merely an effect of too much hot coffee, and beer the other night, and an ice cream sunday, and a large pancake strawberry and whipped cream breakfast, and creamed herring on spicy chips for lunch.

Plus allergies.

I think Covid 19 is symptomised with a dry cough, rather than a phlegmy one.

Although, you should be in an age range where this isn't serious if you've contracted it.

it's probably not covid. The irritation is said to come from the lungs, not the throat

If it gets worse, even 20 somethings should see a doctor. There have been cases of young people going on ventilators and never waking up in NYC.

Why would I care about physical therapy and ect? You again brought up your vacation plans but I didn’t realize it was 2 months prior. Sorry you have to deal with that. You’re probably right I am a good troll and flame very well. You seem to be another conspiracy nut that thinks the media is against your interests and are going to great lengths to blow this out of proportion because it will effect your daily routine. Just be thankful your family is safe and virus free and take that time to reflect about your past sins.

This seemed almost like a level-headed response. hmm

Hope you're doing okay. Keep us informed if you don't have money for food and essentials.

Wow, this is crazy. This makes it even worse than I thought but far less deadly than my model. I am definitely more than happy to admit a mortality rate of .1% or less because that's good news for the entire world.

But that puts the R0 beyond even the worst rhinovirus cases of an R0 at 5+

This is actually really good news and it should make people happy. Happy that this virus probably spread much faster than originally thought but way way far less deadly than touted.

Yup. Fewer than 5% end up getting "severe" symptoms of the people who present to medical facilities with COVID-19-like symptoms. Anywhere from mild to severe people are the majority of the positive "cases."

If you get a positive test case and you have to go on a ventilator, you're more likely to die than live.

One positive thing I hope every person takes away from this is to simply respect each other's space. Hopefully it singles out the rude, self centered population. So thanks for that China, I guess.

Honestly, the idea of going into the hospital and being put to sleep for a ventilator and never waking up is kind of frightening. Especially if you're young and in otherwise decent health.

Im going insane dues!!

I dunno what might be coming next,etc........

Peace and love to you all 🙂

This sounds more like throat irritation from something like post-nasal drip, which is often from things like sinusitis caused by allergies. Post-nasal drip can also be caused by reflux though, which is another possibility, considering the food combo you just described. I'm no doctor though. Just speaking as someone who has had issues with it in the past.

Lol. Media Matters: constantly showing they don't matter at all

What's the dates on those articles?

you can see the vox one is from jan 31st and nope that is no excuse when people are saying trump was downplaying this for months

To be fair lefty truth teller Dr. Fauci was downplaying the virus in late January too and it's clear where the media gets their marching orders about this.

Can't blame them for being no better than those they criticize.

Trump did talk about the virus in his state of the union speech(the one Pelosi tore up)

I do have acid reflux. Take Omneprazole for it, and still had a reflux about a week ago.
