as someone who has boiled many blue crabs alive on at least a dozen occasions it's a difficult topic to address honestly without submitting to a hypocrisy, but yes I think it's cruel. particularly, the act of wasting any animal's life purely for the sake of amusement is pretty cruel/evil.

I know but I believe that the crabs had it much worse than the pit-fighting bugs. therefore I argue from intent rather than severity. while we're on the topic, if I ever boil crab again I will take the time to stab them each in the brain first and risk the pinchers

Nah, insects are not animals no matter how many times retards keep repeating they are. I don't give a shit what the official classification system says. That same system also lumps humans in with animals because of Darwinian evolution nonsense lol so it means literally nothing to me. Retards like robbie can cry and stomp his feet over it all he likes, I don't care.

Humans are clearly above animals and animals are clearly above insects. Period.

That's pretty much the gist of it.

Boiling lobsters alive may seem horrific, but not only is there purpose in the boiling, it's also humane in the sense you don't really suffer much from being flash boiled. If it happened to us, our fried nerves wouldn't register a thing.

Same deal with slaughtering cattle.

I mean just don't go the "i murdered you humanely" route.

Just say they taste good and we won.

You wouldn't turn down a nice juicy lobster if they said "it suffered". Don't even pretend.
