How powerful was Kylo Ren?

In terms of Kylo's power in the Force and skill with a lightsaber, who would he compare to?

**Without the dyad amp preferably

I've seen a few people argue that he was around Dooku's level with the force, but I don't know what evidence supports that.

There’s not much to go off of scaling-wise to compare him to PT characters. He was able to knockout Luke with the force, which is a pretty impressive feat. Other than that, based on what we know of his bloodline/potential and years of experience, he should be comparable to ROTJ Luke/RoTS Anakin

^ Wouldn't have it been the building that KO'd Luke, not so much Kylo himself? But anyway though, he does have some pretty high end feats with the Temple and ship crashing one. Although others even Non-Force Users have survived ship crashes into planets soo?...

Freezing a blaster bolt is nice.

It seems he's not as powerful as he should be. At first, he seemed to have potential, being the best student by far and all. By TLJ, though, Snoke was disappointed that Kylo wasn't turning out like he'd hoped. So what we get from that is that while he's good, he's not Vader/Luke level.

@ Eli
Now, assuming that RotS Anakin was stronger than Dooku and about equal to Windu (which I don't like to, because it causes scaling like the following), then:
Dooku<Anakin<Vader
Kylo<Vader
Kylo ~ Anakin
Kylo ~< Dooku

@Zenwolf
I've never understood why that's supposed to be this amazing feat. I mean it looks cool and all, but can it really be that hard?

Snoke was only disappointed that killing Han split Kylo’s spirit and that he was bested by Rey, which we know now is because she gained his skill through their dyad. Also the TRoS novel states that Kylo would have defeated her easily if it wasn’t for his injury.

Sidious even says “Snoke trained you well”. So I don’t see Snoke’s disappontment having much significance.

Freezing the blaster bolt is really not that impressive tbh, it just looks cool

So you forget what Snoke said about him at the end of the film prior to him killing him. He used that tactic to lure Rey in through Ren. He flat out said it. Ren was powerful as ****. Luke remarked how powerful both he and Ren were.

Count Dooku does not compare to Skywalker power.

Not very. Bandon level at best.

Total_Warrior>Kylo Ren

I have better feats tbh

I was more referring to the precise and control aspect not so much the feat itself, probably should have clarified.

Guess it depends if Kylo was responsible for destroying Luke's temple with that lightning storm:

Even if he did conjure the storm, however, he didn't seem to have any real control over it.

He also used TK to blow the Dagobah cave to smithereens:

And bring down the High Republic vault doorway:

He's got some other decent Force showings, but those are by far his most impressive displays of raw power.

Don’t forget about controlling the transport shuttle in TRoS. Probably one of the best on-screen TK feats in Star Wars, second only to Sidious and Yoda throwing the senate pods. Unless I’m forgetting some

Wouldn't the dyad have been in effect in that scene?

I have him at least around Vader level.

No the dyad only amped them when they worked together as one

What did he say at the end of the film? luring Rey through him? How does that make him powerful?

Oh, and sorry, I mistyped in my original post, I meant to say
"Kylo ~> Dooku," not "Kylo ~< Dooku"

“His training of Kylo Ren is not yielding what he wants”... which would be Kylo being 100% devoted to the dark side, I would assume
