Anti-Vax Right-Wing Radio Host Hospitalized with CVOID-19
Longtime right-wing radio talk-show host Marc Bernier has been hospitalized with COVID-19. "I don't have an update on him at this point, other than he has been hospitalized," said Mark McKinney, the station's operations director.
While he did not have specific knowledge of Bernier's vaccination status, McKinney said that the host has made his anti-vaccination opinions well known on the air. "If you've listened to his show, you've heard him talk about how anti-vaccine he is on the air," said McKinney.
Listeners will be advised of Bernier's diagnosis today during his show's 3:00–6:00 p.m. time slot, McKinney said. The syndicated "Sean Hannity Show" will air in Bernier's time slot until he returns, McKinney said.

It started off as a basic cold, but within 72 hours, Shannon Ruvelas's fever had spiked to 102.8 degrees, and her blood oxygen level was down to 84 percent. "My lungs just took a dive," Ruvelas said from her room in Cape Coral Hospital.
"I was against the vaccine, I didn't want it, but I've never been this sick," she said. "If I could change my mind and go back, I would get the vaccine."
"My hesitancy was based on non-real news, you know what you see on the internet with divided news outlets," she said. "I was lost about how to make the right decision for my own health care and for my family."

Prison for 2 Hawaii Tourists Who Faked Vax Cards
Two travelers to Hawaii are facing up to one year in prison and up to $5,000 in fines after falsifying vaccination cards.
Norbert Chung, 57, and Trevor Chung, 19, were arrested Sunday at Honolulu's Daniel K. Inouye Airport after officials say they violated the state's Safe Travels program, which allows travelers from the U.S. and its territories to offer vaccine proof to bypass the state's mandatory 10-day quarantine.
Investigators from the Department of the Attorney General made the arrests after receiving a tip from a community member prior to their arrival, according to a statement from spokesperson Gary Yamashiroya. The two travelers were arraigned Thursday morning.

A grandfather's fight with COVID featured on a hospital's Facebook page is going viral. Mercy Hospital says Mike Prinzi was reluctant to get the vaccine because of what he now calls misinformation. He ended up fighting for his life at the hospital's intensive care unit.
"We had doubts in the beginning, with all the different stories from the media making decisions about getting vaccinated difficult. But wish I had known then what I have learned now," writes his wife on Facebook.
Prinzi was put on a ventilator after COVID pneumonia stressed his body to the breaking point. The machine helped him survive for 48 of the 74 days he was hospitalized.
