A prominent skeptic of COVID-19 vaccines and anti-lockdown campaigner has died at the age of 53 after contracting the disease.

Robin Fransman, a political economist, passed away due to the consequences of infection with the SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes COVID-19, on December 28th at a hospital in Amsterdam.

On December 3rd, Fransman announced on Twitter that he had tested positive for the disease. Fransman was unvaccinated and had been highly critical of the COVID-19 vaccines on social media, often downplaying their effectiveness.

Fransman was fond of retweeting Joe Rogan and stories about anti-vax protests around the world.

A diehard anti-vaxxer who became a popular radio personality died of COVID at the age of 61 on Monday night. Maurizio Buratti, better known as "Mauro from Mantua" died in a Verona hospital where he had been receiving treatment for some weeks.

Despite being in a critical condition, he never disavowed his COVID denialist views.

Buratti consistently denied the existence of the coronavirus and once boasted he had gone into a Mantua supermarket despite being reported as having it. He said he had been happy to play the "plague-spreader," with a 101 degree fever and his mask down.

Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick is quarantining after testing positive for COVID-19 last week. Patrick previously sued the Biden administration over the federal requirement for federal government workers and contractors to be vaccinated.

Last August, Patrick, who is running for re-election in 2022, was criticized for comments he made blaming Black Americans for COVID-19 spread. "The biggest group in most states are African Americans, who have not been vaccinated. The last time I checked, over 90% of them vote for Democrats," Patrick said in a Fox News interview.

Orange County Deputy District Attorney Kelly Ernby, who ran for state Assembly in 2020 and had become a leader with the Republican Party of Orange County, has died suddenly, a week after telling friends she was very sick with COVID-19. She was 46 years old.

Ernby was a political newcomer when she ran for the 74th Assembly District seat in 2020. She campaigned on plans to enhance border security, enact "tough love" policies for homeless people, and oppose all new taxes, calling herself a "pro-business, pro-taxpayer, political outsider" who wanted to "bring back conservative values in California."

She commented most frequently on Twitter over the past year about her opposition to mandates for COVID-19 vaccines. During a December 4th rally against vaccine mandates at Irvine City Hall, Ernby drew parallels between the 1960s and today, saying in both eras people faced losing freedoms to what she termed "socialist ideals."

Now she is dead from COVID.

The illegal sale of coronavirus vaccination cards began as a simple operation out of David Hodges's home in Lewes, Delaware federal prosecutors said. Last February, Hodges, a paramedic who worked at a coronavirus vaccination site, started printing blank vaccine cards he found online, a complaint states.

But by the time investigators discovered the scheme months later, prosecutors said, the operation had become more sophisticated. Hodges had taken blank vaccination cards from his workplace, according to the complaint, and pocketed nearly $1,300 after selling an unspecified number of the documents.

On Tuesday afternoon, "Vaccine Police" leader Christopher Paul Key was arrested and booked into Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham, Alabama stemming from a criminal trespassing in the third degree charge.

A Jefferson County Jail representative confirmed Tuesday evening that Key is being held without bond.

The anti-vaxxer, who "serves" packets of documents that supposedly show that the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine is supposedly a "bioweapon," had a court hearing earlier Tuesday over an arrest at a Whole Foods in April, where Key was cited with trespassing.

Earlier this week, Key proudly claimed he would arrest Democrat Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards over vaccine mandates, and set off on a cross-country road trip with a fake badge and high capacity firearms.

In a series of Telegram messages, Key has documented his visits to countless state offices where he harasses officials over vaccines, masks, and mandates.

Cirsten Weldon focused on attacking vaccines and other efforts to fight COVID-19, saying in one video that Dr. Anthony Fauci "needs to be hung from a rope." She claimed the vaccine killed people and even recorded herself yelling at people standing in line to receive vaccines. "The vaccines kill, don't get it," Weldon warned the waiting vaccine recipients in an undated video posted to one of her online accounts. "This is how gullible these idiots are. They're all getting vaccine!"

After Weldon's death, her QAnon allies threatened to pursue violent action against staff at the hospital where she died. Scott McKay, a QAnon personality known as the "Patriot Streetfighter," said he would publicize the names of doctors and nurses involved in treating Weldon, saying he wanted to "put the fear into these medical professionals" in a Telegram post. McKay proposed the hospital staff be sentenced to death, or be murdered in vigilante violence.
