There are too many trends, which means the “average” continually shifts, true.
Currently, though, when authors put Superman’s nose to the grindstone, they have him achieve feats that are, on average, pretty darn high much higher than what you typically get from other characters when authors have them do the same.

Superman beats the Phoenix force out of them.
