Do you believe that power levels, such as perception speed, should fluctuate randomly in a forum fight as they do in comics?
Comic characters do not exist in perfect stasis. Hulk does not always operate at Worldbreaker levels. Flash does not always operate at Speedforce-breaking levels.
If you want to demand that we only consider Superman at his greatest perception/combat speed levels, then you are free to create a thread with that exact stipulation. But no. Instead you b1tch about that imaginary level in generic vs. threads without such stipulations whilst pretending that Superman approaches Flash-level consistency when it comes to perception/combat speed. Superman doesn't. The comics make that clear.
And what offends me is your accusation that I am somehow doing it wrong. We take the comic character as they are plainly presented and insert them into the vs. thread. We don't create an imaginarily optimized fanboy version utterly detached from their portrayal in the comics just to stack the deck in an otherwise unextraordinary comic vs. thread solely because you are butthurt that your favorite character doesn't dominate every vs. matchup.
You're just wandering further and further away from the actual comic character. You're free to do so in carefully stipulated threads. You're not free to demand otherwise without such stipulations.

ODG you’ve forced the point and with good reason. If Mangog were composed of one billion, billion beings at the low end where each being can lift 150 pounds, Mangog himself would be able to lift 50 quadrillion tons, and at the high end 50 quintillion tons if each being were Spider-Man level. However this would fall very short of what would be needed to one shot a planet like Earth. In order to one shot the planet he would need to be able to lift 3.96 sextillion tons and each one of the beings that make up his billion billion would need to be able to strike with 3,960 tons of force.I’m willing to believe this about Mangog for the simple fact that he was capable of driving back Odin who in canon is stated to be able to destroy galaxies as a result of his battles.
The problem is that we have never seen Mangog perform at that level due to the need to write a great story. His strength further increases through hatred or similar negative emotions as well, so there’s that.
I’d be willing to concede if Mangog were tough enough to resist Superman level strikes, which is a tall order. The only character in Marvel that can theoretically surpass Superman level strength is the Hulk, but that’s his potential strength.
In a battle against Doomsday, Mangog would become far more powerful, while Superman an is more calculating and less or t up aggression. This ultimately depends on how strong those billion billion beings are and is he fast enough to make a spell before Superman hits him a billion billion times.
Sorry my calculations were way off, and to be honest they weren’t my calculation I ran it through the AI while I was at work. You can do the calcs if you’d like, but in order for Mangog to chase Odin and Thor around like he did, each one of his billion billion beings would each have to possess Spider-Man level strength, especially if he were one of the various entities or creatures that could push Odin to the point that his battles threatened to destroy entire galaxies.
The calculation of each individual being that makes up for his billion billion would allow him to lift 10,000 quintillion tons. This would give him the strength to press Earth weights.
Its ridiculous but whatever!
Why do you guys stress so much over unreal made up shit? You can have a favorite, but why go bonkers to the point that you literally hate each other? You’re being set up, can’t you see?
This fight has too many variables. Mangog is a mythical union of billions upon billions of powerful beings, and he gets off on negative emotions which further increase his power. For all we know, Superman may break a knuckle hitting him because of his or its magical nature. This is why I brought up the Thunder and Lightning story that shows him struggling to survive against magical constructs.
Either way, it shouldn’t burn your butt if he would lose to Mangog because of this. S’ym would similarly stump Superman.

I had no negative intent in my post. I was simply asking honest questions to better understand how to steer the debate. You assumed I had some implied ill will - I didn't. Remember, I'm not Abhi insulting you.
It's not productive to debate a topic unless we can agree on the rules; otherwise, we're just arguing over the rules instead of the actual forum fight.
How would you define the rule "FULL CAPACITY"?
Based on your definition, would that rule disallow a character's perception speed from randomly and drastically fluctuating during a forum fight? For example, would it prevent a character from perceiving a bullet as almost frozen one moment and then finding it faster than they can respond to the next?
Keep in mind, we're discussing forum rules here - not our personal opinions on how a forum fight should play out.
Absolutely not, but characters may also have innate defenses that may, or may not render their opponents powers negligible or more powerful. Full capacity is using the character to their best on panel performances with slight nuances in cases that involve adaptable characters like the Hulk, or Doomsday. Then there are the battles that call for specific iterations of several characters like the Sphinx with two Ka stones instead of a shattered or damaged Ka stone. Etc. Superman’s speed does not stop Mangog from slamming the ground with enough force to kill the Flash who might be battling alongside him because the implied power that such a blow would create would be like standing beside a nuke capable of blowing up a planet.
We don’t ignore speed or any other power unless that power can be somehow negated or is rendered useless. Psylocke for example could have Wonder Woman in the corner punching boulders instead of being hit by her.

Fine, choose a judge from either -Pr-, Galan007 or Smurph or all of them.
I'll simplify it for your monkey brain, who's closest character to Mangog in DC comics. Just answer that, you ****ing moron.
^ Your lil b1tch-a$$ been running even too much for my taste. you want to run away like a lil b1tch, just run. Otherwise, man up and stand by your own posts.
Originally posted by abhilegendI proposed the judges and you kept fleeing. So, now, I will choose Smurph. If he declines or simply doesn't respond, then Galan007. If he declines or simply doesn't respond, then -Pr-.
Propose the judges little monkey.
