It's natural to have difficulty admitting a mistake, as we are all prideful creatures; but to a narcissist it's impossible (unless their admittance is disingenuous and part of a greater strategy)

I should post a pic of me and her sometime, she was insanely beautiful and a most of the time wonderful, she just could never be wrong and in the end i had enough of it. It takes longer and longer to recover after an argument, eventually you say **** that and move out. Some time later your feelings for the person have changed and you no longer want to be with them. It is what it is. I don't think DDM or her had NPD, i just think some people, particularly women, but some men push to far and don't realise they overestimated there worth until it's too late. All relationships involve give and take and sometimes we all stoop to emotional blackmail etc. When people do it all the time their value crashes, you end up thinking, I'm happier alone and leave them to it. Online in a forum, we see exaggerated versions of who we are and how we feel at any point in our lives.

That's S and M and Surt's trademark to a point. They never actually form a nuanced position so they have little to defend and little emotional investment in a thread. DDM puts out a much more detailed (often troll position), I am aware he often knows his position is highly flaw and I think enjoys seeing how far he can defend it. He even when it's collapsed won't admit it's collapsed, I think this may be to draw those arguing against him in emotionally, if so, good ploy.

if that was his goal, why waste so much energy typing forever. I've seen him in the "who's online" page typing out his reply for 10-20 minutes, even more. s&m likely takes 10-20 seconds to accomplish the same exact ends. If it truly is all deliberate, then s&m far exceeds ddm's t.w.a.t. method

I disagree about ddm's success in gaslighting, unless maybe you specifically mean the gaslight aspect of "wear your opponent down", which I suppose he excels at. I don't think he's ever managed to actually fool anyone, however. the end goal of gaslighting is to make the opponent not only give up, but believe "maybe I am crazy like he claims, and 2+2 really does equal 5.

I've seen people who follow his own confirmation bias attempt to quote his posts as evidence. maybe that's the successfully trickery?

we're going to have to disagree here. I think many posters drink DDM's coolaid and he does what he does highly effectively. The way he draws people in and gets them to talk politely as his evidence insults their intelligence is genius and I respect that ability. Wish I had it tbh.

My theory is you guys just f*ck around and then DDM compiles evidence and destroys your arguments and you get upset. And then you say anyone who points out you just got destroyed is drinking the "cool aid".
