Avengers in the DCU

I forgot about the JL Dark. So, Avengers would be at least top 10.

No, that's the JLA. Most characters have been a member at one point or another.

Using the current roster, that team IS the JLA/JSA and there are some members there that haven't been a part of the JLA.

Top 3.

No. All of those have been members.

Just terrible...

Anyways, this team alone would be right up there with the JLA...

About Outsiders level.

Just put Batman on the team, so they have one A lister.

Top 3.
Nope.

They'd be behind the JLA, JSA, Legion, All-Star Squadron, etc... still elite, but hard to break top 5.
if they aren’t top 5 then they are not elite.

Top 3.

My order in the DCU:

1. Justice league dark
2. JLA
3. JSA
4. Legion
5. Avengers

So, Avengers barely made it to the top 5.

Freedom Fighters at their peak (last few series) might be even more powerful than the Avengers. They dont have many weaknesses if at all.

I dont think you know about the Avengers lineup I posted, let alone some of the members that are missing.

You posted a picture of about twenty characters.

If they get 20, why don't the JLA and JSA get 20 too?

Because thr team i posted were the standard members of the Avengers world. The team that have been posted throughout this thread of the JSA and JLA isnt the standard team.

Stoic didn't say anything about it being a particular set of Avengers in the OP. Why are you deciding what roster we have to use?

Avengers has had far more members than the JL, also the Avengers members tend to have more experience dealing with the threats they face and have an better data base.
For instance every super team shares a data base of threats and potential threats.

JL has had maybe 25% of the DC hero population at one point being a member.
Marvel made every hero, anti-hero and sometimes villain a Avenger team member some shape way or form.

The JL takes on greater threats overall, they've also failed against high threats more than the avengers. Elite really is about equal since the every premier superhero in both companies have been on both respective teams.

I disagree, but it's moot because I have a more pressing question: Do you think that Stoic's intent was that everyone who had ever been an Avenger was brought in to DC and would function as a superhero team at least a hundred strong?

I think it far more likely that he meant an average line-up, or a sort of "dozen most common members" kind of thing.

I never thought you'd say that eventhough Iron Fist is on it.

He was never really an Avenger though.

Just the B team New Avengers. Shang is the one on the real Avengers team.

JL keeps the most consistently "elite" group.

My original post was about the standard members of the team. Then Mr. Mind replied mentioning a team that had nothing to do with my post.

The entire planet has been members of the JLA (WW3). 😛
