Do you think that's legit an oversight or is it an actual conspiracy to hide who they are so they can abuse people?
I think if this was the 90s, before facial recognition and "everything being on the internet", it would 100% definitely be a trick. But it is 2020 and cops are getting doxxed very quickly during these clashes. So I suspect the legitimacy of calling this a conspiracy of trying to anonymize themselves.

Which laws/statutes is this in? I do know that when asked, they must provide their name and badge number. But I cannot find laws that states it is illegal to cover their badge number.
Regardless, you've not responded appropriately to my post.

Meaning, this was an honest mistake or are they trying to hide who they are so they can commit abuses against the people?

easily dismissible gaslighting aside:RE: the law + the whole point of cops having badge numbers in the first place
