At least Marvel made Brock bond with Venom again. After so many years.

You may hate his methods, but Utopia-era Cyke was pretty damn smart, all things considered.

Yeah, that was nice. I'm not clear on one thing, though. With the cancer. Did Eddie have it? Did the Symbiote give it to him? Did he never have cancer but the symbiote made him think he had it? I was skimming a lot of issues for feats, but some of the stuff I read was kind of all over the place.

He was, I'll grant you that. I even enjoyed that vampire arc too for that part of it.

Gargan venom was probably the most useless symbiote user ever. A toddler would own him.

There's actually someone worse.

I'm not sure anymore. It's been a while.

Perhaps it was a pre-existing condition, before he became Venom.

This is a nice example, though, of how - again - symbiotes have no rules. Everyone will get forgotten or retconned all to shit... or it will become needlessly convoluted.

I would need to research the subject again.

No worries, you just usually know this stuff better than me so I thought I might as well ask.

I use my own headcanon for his powers half the time anyway lol.

The only thing I liked about it was that Cyclops planned around Osborn and tricked him. That was a nice feat.
👆

Using Emma to “lobotomize God” was cool.

Symbiote definitely wasn't doing him any favors, as it kept forcing Eddie to produce more and more adrenaline; saving him in the last moment from a [forced] suicide jump and such.

It was a dictatorship, not a partnership.

Or, like Cletus said, he was just a car and his symbiote was a driver.

...

Of course, Marvel changed their minds on that, too. When they made Eddie and Venom best-friends-forever again. Before the symbiote died-but-not-really-died. Not sure what they're doing with them now.

One big headache.

It was.

Even though said lobotomy didn't last long at all and she paid for it.

Lmao seriously?

Parm is probably thinking of Angelo Fortunato.

Damn, that sucks.

I will say this: The more I read of him, the more I found myself preferring the earlier stuff, where they actually seem like a hive mind that might have independent thought, but they still act as one.

Blurring the lines and using mixed up pronouns etc in a way that's actually interesting.
