Leaders used to be like that. They didn't care what anyone thought about them, they never felt accountable to anyone except their own conscience.
Maybe Dave Chappell is a jerk hiding behind comedy, maybe he's sincere about being an equal opportunity roaster, but the man inspires me for how he stood firm against a lot of backlash.
Even comedians aren't bullet proof, except for Dave.

The university knew better. They caved to the pressure, in spite of knowing full well repealing his name was undeserved.
And this is why I call them cowards, similar to many leaders today. They could have held firm, explained why the name of the KKK he was associated with had no relation to the racist organization, made it a teachable moment, but noooooo... The mob demands blood, and the administration slaughters the name of a good man who did more for civil rights then the complainers.

A. Governments should be completely transparent about events like the UFO so as not to fuel conspiracy theories by withholding?
B. Governments should rightfully vet what kinds if information the public is ready to hear?
Personally, I take the stance of implicit trust in the publics ability to handle any information. If an asteroid was hurtling towards Earth and gave us a year to live, I would absolutely make this news public, and truth in their maturity.
