"DeAnna Lorraine, who ran for Congress in 2020, and Lauren Witzke, who was the Delaware GOP's candidate for Senate in 2020, agree that Hurricane Ian is the deep state using "weather manipulation technology" to punish Gov. Ron DeSantis for not enacting a vaccine mandate in Florida." -snip

It's true, this is what the GOP has become since they embraced Trumpism in 2016. Before these types were keep in the corners, now they're everywhere, even in congress. eg Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene.
I've got this new viewpoint where I realize that governments are stupid.
I feed 10 cats (feral) on my back porch. If they get in a fight or use the bathroom on the porch, I simply pick up the food, and take it back in the house for a few hours. I see them policing themselves. They don't let one cat ruin the situation for the rest of them. By allowing people like Putin enough power to threaten the entire human race, we are such fools. Why is that tolerated? Why have we set it up like that at all? Mistakes all the way down the page. Most of the cats do exactly what they want all day. No cat government. They've definitely figured out a key to happiness that humans have skipped over.
Criticism is the lowest means of social capital. Because it's cheap, easy, and there's no real risk to it.
Expressing opinion, on the other hand, takes courage and opens one up to being dissected.
I have far more respect for someone who expresses an opinion, and makes themselves vulnerable by it, then I do for a mob of nit pickers or any professional critic.
The point being, lets hear your opinions or beliefs once in awhile. Stop hiding behind the herd, and stop worrying about social desirability. Dare to be stupid.
Just for the record, the whole innocuous thing has a reason.
