Congrats Imp, my oldest is fast moving towards 40, 3 years to go. Indeed, the crazy thing is we only live a billion seconds.

Not sure that maths checks out, we've both surpassed a billion seconds and then some 🙂

I get to have another foot surgery.The osteomyelitis aka bone rot is back and is attacking my fifth metatarsal, so the bone is going to have to be completely removed.
I'm so f*cking tired of this shit. I'm feeling defeated.
I relate to how you feel. I have had a five millimeter stone in my right ureter for 60 days. On Monday, I had a ureteroscopy with cystoscopic laser lithotripsy to break it up, followed by the placement of a ureteral stent to facilitate its passing.
I have been urinating blood for six days; I have frequent, painful urination; and continuous kidney pain. The treatment and recovery has been as difficult as the condition. But I remind myself that my difficulties are temporary, and that things will be better on the other side of it.
You are going to get through this, and when you are happy and healthy again, this will all just be a memory.
Originally posted by ImpedimentImp, I honestly don't know what to say beyond it will get better, because it will and things always do; but now while in the middle of this is hard to see that. Just go onto auto pilot, block out the bad except when you have to see the Doctor etc. Focus on the good, get through it. Get your strength back and recover.

jfc...i can't even imagine having to be thrown right back into surgery/recovery for the same issue, and this right after it was supposed to have been fixed, and all this right after open heart surgery.
with that said, you're still going to get through this, you'll be fully mobile again (though you'll probably have to retire from professional basketball), as long as you don't let despair take over. good luck

It can be tough eh?
In my experience, it is a mixed blessing.
I am not self-conscious about undressing or being nude, and I am not worried about being sexually rejected. I am confident knowing I am likely the largest person in any room, and that I can have my choice of sexual partners.
The downside is that I am often sexually objectified. I am immediately placed in a sexual category, and not considered for relationships. And I am often treated like my persohood is an obstacle to accessing my body by people who want to indulge their curiosity or satisfy a particular desire.
Still, I would not change my size, despite the negatives. I have simply learned to identify and avoid people who will not treat me right because of it. If anything, like most men, I would like to be even larger. I just wish I could find underwear that is supportive and comfortable, so I do not have to adjust myself dozens of times a day.

He is definitely going to need a custom orthodic after the next surgery. But on the bright side, his heart is healthy, and his erections are better than ever. Once he is up and moving, he is going to feel like a younger man.
About the marine;
So the marine is sorting out a homeless man that is threatening and attacking people and a man dies. Charged. A fed ex driver is insulted,. allegedly attacked first, counter attacks, a man dies, no charges.
Maybe if the Fed Ex driver was white and the homeless man black and called him a "Wop" or something, then he'd be charged?
