Unless Trump receives a criminal conviction before the Republican primary is over, Haley does not have enough support within the party to become the nominee.
If Trump is the nominee, he loses without the support of Independents. If Haley is the nominee, she loses without the support of Republicans.
The GOP is really in a double-bind here. Eight years ago, Haley could have done well as a neo-conservative. However, since Trump, the party is so radicalized, that she is considered a RINO. I think there's still plenty of those Republicans who would hold their nose and vote for Haley just because she has an "R" next to her name, Fox news is telling them to do so and telling them that Joe Biden eats stems cells right out of fetuses. Trump would have to die or drop out and endorse her.
So Haley would have a chance at the Presidency, she'd just have to have an older White super-uber-conservative-christian man as her VP to get the Republican turnout. Like a Mike Pence type, someone Republican voters can justify with "he'll be guiding her", because women need that in their minds.
In the extremely unlikely scenario where Trump doesn't get the GOP nomination due to being convicted, though I think the GOP would still support him if convicted because they're shameless, Trump would still run in his own 3rd party to keep fleecing his cult and they'd both lose.
