I think you're forgetting how long 4 months is in election politics. Trump will likely speak for unity...somewhat...but even in a weak show of unity, he will cool some maga rage. some people will be like "yeah i'm tired of fighting other americans". you think trump is stepping into maga paradise, but i propose that this will actually force him into a position where he must piss on the olive branch and choose madness and rage.

I said earlier that Trump won’t be humble, at least not for long, and will use this to spread more division while milking victimhood. But Trump always gets special treatment and passes on his shit behavior, no other Republican president could have done what he’s done and survived politically. Not even Republican poster-boy Ronnie Reagan.
Though I guess an argument could be made that this is actually a showing of where Republicans are as a party now and Trump just stumbled in at the right moment to be the Golden Calf they were yearning for.
