If FBI Director Wray is correct and a bullet didn't graze Trump's ear, but just a bit of shrapnel from possibly one of the bullets hitting something hard, it means that the gunman didn't get close even after 8 rounds from a distance of 500 feet.. Was he trying to miss on purpose?

they likely concluded that it was shrapnel because they ruled out the bullet, and occam's razor said that it was shrapnel...as opposed to an actual razor, which it f*cking was. Looks like trump/SS might have gotten away with it all, though.

While I'd not rule out that the shooter had no intention of shooting Trump and he planned the stunt to help Trump, as Trumpers are that nutty in their hero-worship. I don't see some huge coverup with Trump and his goons behind it. The former is far more likely at least.

Investigation still ongoing though, so who knows.

In the article I posted previously, one of his classmates who was interviewed stated that in addition to being a conservative Republican, he was kicked off the school rifle team, because he was a poor shot.

FBI came out just an hour or so ago and officially said it was either a bullet or a fragment of a bullet that grazed Trump's ear.
