I'll never get another. regardless of how well you do at it, and keep them safe from accidents, poor genetics will guarantee that they will die at 7 years old. Google will tell you that they could live a little longer, but it's too rare to even hope for. you will also be doing extensive senior animal care for at least their last year. I also think most people are too uncaring and stupid to put in that work, so I never recommend them as pets and have talked people out if it
Also I only ever had 2 ferrets at a time. 3 for a brief period, so not sure what you're on about ladies with 10 cats. But okay, you think having pets is stupid. Cool 👆
