15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were Saudi nationals, no Iraqis. Yet the Bush admin blamed Saddam.
Actually, the myth was Iraq was a terrorist regime armed with biological and chemical weapons, weapons of mass destruction and are believed to be linked with Al-Qaeda.
Firstly, the Saddam regime were an awful regime, but they had no army after the Gulf War, and instead tortured its own citizens. The biological and chemical weapons were the gas chambers, but they aren't weapons of mass destruction. Lastly, the Saddam elite had access to the internet, which is how Al Qaeda communicated and operated (it's not the Taliban or the Mujah Hadeen), could have happened, but there was no evidence at the time and still no evidence to this day. The entire Bush Doctrine was designed to invade a country if you think it's a threat, which is why all the propaganda came about after 9/11.
Iraq was already a threat because they refused to sell their oil, and Afghanistan had an almost monopoly of opium, which can be used for anti-depressants or pain killers, like the aspirin factory in Sudan, which Clinton bombed. Both countries just so happen to be at opposite sides of Iran, too. Interestingly, Saddam was put into power to invade Iran, and the Taliban were put into power to stop Soviet takeover.
ISIS is of course Sunni muslim, and want to take control of Israel. It's the same people that invaded Israel in the first place. Furthermore, Israel exists because Jews in Eastern Europe didn't want to be ruled by Catholicism, so the British allowed them to live there after taking Palestine from the Ottoman empire, who were also Sunni. Before the Ottomans, it was under the Byzantine empire, who were Orthodox. That was the only time in the current era, Jerusalem was peaceful.
