I used to be similar, I didn't have a good or bad opinion of him, but I liked a few of his cars (X, S and 3). I'll never consider a Tesla now if I should need a full electric.
He wants total power and the wealth that comes with that, even thought he was wealthier than everyone else. He didn't spend billions so Trump could be president. Lucky for us, they're incompetent and bad at economics. People will look the other way for a lot of things, but not their wallets so much.
