Surtur is an edgelord. He enjoys saying things specifically to piss people off, and will use edgy humour. As I said before, his joke was in poor taste and I think that, as a joke, could be seen as racist. I do not believe him to be a racist, though, because he only ever says these things in a trolling context. Is it possible that Surtur is racist? Yes. But, knowing him, I suspect this was a targeted post specifically designed to piss you guys off - not belittle any black members of the forum.
However, xyz has a long history of bigotry, and has demonstrated this consistently - up to instances all throughout this thread. His current thing is transphobia, but his bigotry is well documented. He repeatedly displays attempts to belittle actual trans members. This is different to racist jokes aimed at nobody in particular. You and your buds refuse to recognise xyz's bigotry because those on the receiving end of them are your political enemies. You turn a blind eye on actual bigots to 'own the cons' (which is funny because I'm a liberal-type with an emphasis on social policies).
So when xyz says something bigoted you and the others ignore it - whilst I actually say that I think Surtur's joke was racist in nature and in poor taste. These are documented instances, meaning that what you said was relevant to you, but not to me.
I'm surprised that you need someone much younger than you to explain such rudimentary things, honestly. This stuff isn't hard.
