Wait, I though the stereotype for the drunks were the Irish in the UK?
But no, the Scots get jumped with the stereotype too, even though the English are as alcoholic as anyone else, tbh. Maybe moreso. But the English do love pretending to be better than everyone...

Have you ever heard someone shout the word "blatherskite" only for shenanigans to follow?

That's just sad.
It is sad. It is in this very thread that she accused someone of being transphobic, and said everyone who sides with him politically was guilty by association if they did not immediately condemn him, even though none of us had witnessed the interaction. When pressed to quote the interaction, so we could see confirm her characterization of it, she refused. She gave the excuse that it was late, and she would do it the following day, but then she signed off for several days, and did not return until the page had flipped several times. When she returned, she tried to ignore it, but I brought it up again, and she melted down for several pages, until everyone moved on from the subject.
Adam, you have avoided just as much as me, and now you can't even speak to me directly. You have also lied about me with malicious intent, and still you have not decried xyz's transphobia, despite Rob doing so. I have nothing left for you. I thought you relatively decent, but you have proven yourself a mean-spirited coward.
We seem to be done here. I would ask of you the decency to refrain from lying about me any further.

Any comment from Rob or Adam, or maybe Whirly about xyz's current little transphobic tirade?Very similar in character to his old ones about blacks and Pakistanis, no? I'd say it's eerily familiar, in fact.
I have already spoken out about XYZ. I have never defended him, so I do not know why you continue to insist I answer for him.

I thought in light of the Freddie Mercury chat people might be interested in this. It's not political in any relevant to left/right sense.
The last of the Zoroastrians
Strange coincidence, I read it this morning.

Ignore him in the future Scrib. He has this weird vendetta.

Yep, I've called him out on it plenty of times, called him out on it recently iirc. As I have said ad nausea, Surtur used to be way more transphobic, but I debated him on it and he softened substantially. He's also been nothing but respectful to actual trans members of the forum.
Being "less transphobic" is like being "a little pregnant." That he can speak to you with respectful language while having total disdain for people like you is a pyrrhic victory.
