It’s funny to watch Dems day they wouldn’t confirm a SCOTUS if they were in this position.

What an absolute bunch of liars

Think brown rice, quinoa, steel cut oats etc

Think bulkier vegetables like sweet potatoes, parsnips, carrots, avocado

One thing is for sure you can EAT ALOT more on a vegan diet since you don't have all the saturated fats from animal products.............the proteins aren't as good but you still get complete proteins.

I pass on that lifestyle but what do you mean by profitable?

beans and chickpeas are nice and very high in protein. Good post.

I still eat meat though. 😛

Yeah, I've always stuck to a high carb, high protein diet. I tried keto a few times but I just felt so lethargic. I even went vegetarian once but within a week I was like, I can't just be eating cheese all the time. So yeah, I'm sticking with the classic food pyramid. Polyunsaturated fats, complex carbs and plenty of proteins baby.

Honestly, if I didn't have that diet I'd probably die of alcohol poisoning by now.

Profitable as in it costs way less to produce, and you can charge a premium, so you make more money compared to beef.

Basically, I was looking at the veganism fad, and got to wondering if there was a profit motive behind pushing veganism.

Nature gives you the seed, you sew the seed and then nature grows the seed and then you eat the seed or sell the seed to help your fellow person.

Hippie talk aside, if you or I had a farm and knew how to, we'd be able to make enough for others and ourselves..... This also applies to livestock though.

The best argument I ever heard for vegetarianism or veganism is that farming fruit and vegetables is far more efficient, (ie, a field of cows will feed fewer people than a field the same size with with corn or potatoes on it.) not to mention you don't need a slaughterhouse/abattoir.

Well I don't see much difference. Talking to a sheep or a pig is about as productive as talking to a tree or a bush.

Yup, it's true that it's better for the health of our planet and alot of animals that we jam in cages and kill.

That's because you don't know how to talk to them😛

Well, there's also the cost on drinkable water supplies.

But personally I think just about everything gets driven by some fatcats desire to get rich. Meaning, if sustainability gets suckers to pay a premium for the privilege, they'll bleed us dry for it. This includes blatant lying about things like "organic".

Which isn't an argument against sustainability, so much as it is societies blood suckers that have to ruin everything with their greed.

I like to talk to humans because I understand humans. With animals, it's about as far as they want to eat or fight.

Never owned a dog?

You can have more interesting conversations with them, then with some people. 🙂

I've never owned a dog. I'd rather have friends and a wife. srug

You can have a dog and a family at the sametime 😉

Yeah, ok. Still would rather have the family if given the choice, but both sounds good too.

Oh yeah? Tell that to Moses.
