I don’t understand what the mass bans will prove in the long scheme of things; this is practically a dead forum and any activity on here should be promoted and encouraged. Forcing draconian law and rules are just immature and petty at this point: it’s the equivalent to pulling the plug on severely ill patients. Petty and childish.
The idea of promoting any and all activity is silly and I find your analogy kinda goofy.

^That’s another thing I hate about the GDF: Creating an entire thread for one minuscule news article that bears no reason for general discussion.
Article: “Man farts in public”.
“Oooh! I’m gonna make a thread about this in the GDF because I’m such a contributor!!11!!”
Who do you think would make said thread? sly

Notice how there is no conflict in echo chambers, and how easily everyone gets along when they are not challenged and there are no dissenting opinions?
People don't have to be at each other's throats for there to be disagreements and debate. You clearly missed that there were disagreements. But they didn't go beyond adults having decent conversations.
You'd like there to be echo-chambers but there's just not. For example, Surtur and I disagree quite diametrically about multiple topics. We are not the same, politically. And we've argued content quite a bit over the years. But it never devolves into petty squabbling. Same with Silent Master (but SM and I are very damn near exactly the same, politically).

It's hard always being right, which is why we're the only two on the board capable of it. 😇

Granted, it wasn’t the best analogy, but I do stand firm in promoting more activity on the boards - even if it’s ridiculousness. The mods promoting law and order on a dead forum is a parody of itself.
