Not really. Unless your options are no workout vs. 2 whole body workouts a week? Yeah, I agree.But the science does not support a whole body workout as being great for muscle building.
You don't have enough energy to make it through a good workout if you do the whole body.
I am talking about resistance training for muscle growth and/or strength.
Men's Journal wrote up an article on this:
Really depends on your goals. If your goal is to be lean and fit, full body workouts, 4 days a week, should be great. If you want to be lean, muscular, and strong, split workouts are better. You can do what I do and mix in HIT with resistance training to also check the "fit" box for split workouts.
I don't do it now, we're talking a few years back, but damn people were complimenting me back then. Men and women! 😂 But yeah, if I get back into it, I'll focus on getting it right. 👆
