So plans for the future seasons, but didn't get to happen because it was cancelled?Zodak got a better deal then his 2012 comic counterpart, that's for sure. That cosmic enforcer was killed by Hordak in a one shot.
The last episode of the season was not produced, but it was scripted, and made into a comic book that was included with the box set.
There were preliminary discussions for the third season. Tri-Klops would salvage the holographic training robot scrapped by Man-At-Arms, and turn it into Faker. He would also repurpose the holographic technology to make Skeletor appear in his pre-transformation state. Then Faker would turn the people against He-Man, and Skeletor would overthrow Randor. The heroic warriors would then retreat to a secret base in the Vine Jungle, and spend the season trying to reestablish the status quo. Eventually, the Horde would be freed from Despondos, and we would get the introduction of She-Ra as well.

Huh, sounds like the Masters/Injustice poached the Faker bit.
2012-2013 only kept some of the broad strokes, it sounds like. The Zoar/Serpos/Barbatos Teela/Evil Lynn becoming avatars must be original to the comic.
Plus the Hiss body snatching, I can't see that ever happening in a cartoon aimed at a younger generation.

Yes, that concept is original to the crossover comic.
In the prime continuity, the universe was birthed into existence by the Goddess, and the Sorceress is her immortal avatar on Eternia. She protects the Star Seed, which is the after-birth of creation, and the source of all power in the universe. The Council of Wisdom constructed Castle Grayskull on top of the Crystal Cavern where the Star Seed resides to help protect it. An energy blade was forged in the Star Seed, and it can directly channel its power. Because absolute power corrupts absolutely, the blade was split into the Sword of Power and the Sword of Protection, and can only be wielded by the pure of heart.
