Anyone else feel like US leaders are spineless cowards? Not just politicians, but all leaders.

All they do is make a show of pandering to the loudest voices. I mean, I know the people's voices ought to matter, but leaders are supposed to know when to push back against the crowd too. They never do this. If 100% of Americans thought building a ladder to the moon was a good idea, I bet you they wouldn't rightfully say "HAVE YOU ALL LOST YOUR GODDAMNED MINDS??! What's the matter with you all!"

They'd just smile and go along with it, assuring everyone everything's completely fine and people aren't all a bunch of numb nuts.
