I like non-alcoholic beverages.

So do I. But only the alcoholic kind.

It's funny comparing takes on Travis Bickle and V.

Objectively, they're both savage murderers. Vigilants acting as judge, jury, and executioner.

And V does get condemned for his actions like Travis, yet no one ever really justifies Travis like they do V.

I suppose its because V is seen as fighting an evil system. But really, does that justify all he's done?

Or make him any less insane than Travis?

So what's so great about world conquest anyways?

If you think about it, the conquerors can't have a lot of time to enjoy it. All the political manuverings, the constant back stabbings, the efforts to diffuse uprisings from the rabble. Sounds like a LOT of work to me.

You'd be better off living as a petty crook, or an honest businessman, or anything else that lets you actually make a life where you aren't constantly looking over one shoulder.

Finished the main story of Arkham City game a couple of days ago.. What a great ending. It sucks that

Spoiler:
Talia was killed though. Can she and her dead dad be revived in Lazarus pit? Would they come back in a pet semetary kind of way if they were?

The story overall was very enjoyable and the combat is superb.

Not completely done with game yet though. Still lots of side missions to do and a good many riddler trophies I still need to pick up. I think I enjoy the Catwoman combat even more than the Batman combat. Though he has far more gadget options than she does and his suit armor gives much more protection than her sexy little outfit does she just seems faster and her whip is awesome.

Arkham city is definitely one of my favourite games of all time along with Asylum. I love the Mr. Freeze boss fight, I played on it on hard and damn was he difficult.
Knight was disappointing, the combat is good but the story wasn’t as good, they had a different writer I think, and the batmobile missions get really repetitive.

edit....

The fight with Mr. Freeze was really fun, I agree. I'm only playing on normal difficulty though because it is my first time playing it. I'll eventually try hard difficulty.

Did you play Origins? I haven't tried that one or Knight yet but Asylum was lots of fun.

Yeah I usually start on normal then if I play again I do it on a higher difficulty.

I did play origins but it didn’t feel like part of the Arkham games, it had the same kind of combat and wasn’t too bad but I think cause it was a different voice cast perhaps? I dunno. But Troy Baker as joker was good, he sounded like Hamill.

Did you ever beat all of the combat challenges (by that I mean get all the medals) on Asylum and City?

I really struggled with the extreme challenges on Asylum. I've only messed around with the "Blind Justice" challenge on City a little. Don't know why I struggle with some of those so much.

I watch You Tube videos of people doing the challenges and am amazed at how high they can get their scores. They make it look so damn easy but when I try them I look clumsy in comparison. I think it's just because I get so eager to button mash and it messes up my timing.

Does their impressive skill in combat challenges just come naturally to them or did they have to play them for like hundreds of hours to get that good , I wonder.

Nah, I did nearly complete the entire AA, by that I think I completed 73% of it. AC I just did the main story and a few side quests but there’s just so much to do. I’ve only 100% completed two games and got platinum trophies and those games were spider-man and Star Wars racer which was re-released on PS4.

I would start with one of the old standards and not too spicy maybe Thai green

I wouldn't recommend a Thai green curry if you want something mild, it's actually hotter than the Thai red curry.

If you can get it, there's a South Indian curry called Mappas which is both delicious and mild, not too many South Indian places in my part of the country unfortunately.

yeah a green is hot but Thai spice is easier for novices to cope with than a vindaloo, madras, muffling or Phal.

Mappas is similar to Keralan curry I think Sam. So look for a Keralan place maybe.

chilli peppers are too much for me...like burning napalm. with thai food, i always ask for maximum/extra spice. i don't know why, but it doesn't burn me. it makes my forehead sweat if they really nuke me, but that's about it. i can also eat clumps of straight "wasabi" (the fake green stuff made of horseradish that we all think is wasabi)

I'm no wasabi lover but I can eat pretty much all spicy food. Although I don't go beyond a vindaloo these days.

Ever try ghost pepper?

Not the weak stuff on Ruffles chips, I'm talking the properly made wings or salsas.

Ironically, the only place in Liverpool you could get a decent Mappas got turned into a Keralan place about 7 years ago. 👆
