Whirl, did you actually read the stories? For me it all falls apart with the Mule. Super powers, bog standard evil supernatural villan vs efforts to stop him.
I preferred the history based Game of Thrones maneuvering. Just men with ambition and drive, not damned super powers.

Pr said I say provocative things on Comic Vs.I honestly have no idea what posts he means. I know MrMind hates right wing stuff, like a lot of people here, but that's your problem, not my posting.

See, nobody else gets me. It's like that.
I was like that with the Comics Code days. Always wondering WHY, and WHO.
Because nothing happens by itself. SOMEONE was complaining. I wanted to know who it was, that could complain and get a Comics Code standard going.
I'm reasonably certain it wasn't random parents. No one cares what regular people think. So logically, it must have either been important people, or it must have involved lawyers and lawsuits, and the code was invented to cover their ass.
The story about creating the code to avoid government regulation doesn't really fly, since they abolished the code eventually. Meaning something changed. Government regulation threats don't change, ever, if it was a threat then, it is a threat now.
So I simply don't believe the official explanation.
