So I'm reading Foundations, and on the last book. One passage caught my attention:
Rossem is one of those marginal worlds usually neglected in Galactic history and scarcely ever obtruding itself upon the notice of men of the myriad happier planets.
In the latter days of the Galactic Empire, a few political prisoners had inhabited its wastes, while an observatory and a small naval garrison served to keep it from complete desertion. Later, in the evil days of strife, even before the time of Hari Seldon, the weaker sort of men, tired of the periodic decades of insecurity and danger; weary of sacked planets and a ghostly succession of ephemeral emperors making their way to the Purple for a few wicked, fruitless years—these men fled the populated centers and sought shelter in the barren nooks of the Galaxy.
"The weaker sort of men, tired of the periodic decades of insecurity and danger.... fled the populated centers.."
How on earth does this make one weak?? It sounds smart to me.
What's so courageous about sticking to an unstable state ruled by tin pot dictators and constantly looted from outside?

This is my first hearing about this, so no.
Frogs turning gay is a thing?
Currently reading "Activist Wisdom: Practical knowledge and Creative Tension in Social Movements".
Focuses mainly on Australian activist history, but sets the stage in touring both American and European (French mostly) activism.
They don't beat around the bush about the bonds between social psychology, psychoanalysis, university academics, and grassroots activists. Specifically they admit the mental sciences were full of activists themselves, or those sympathetic to their causes, and acted to help activists find their causes and methods (Without actually telling them or "indoctrinating", because frankly that never works and people reject being told what to do or what to believe).
