Alot of them were actually anti centralization. Again only 4 percent had slaves in the south, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Many estimates have that % number being MUCH higher, but that includes the single slave owning households and not just the very large plantation owners who owned larger numbers of slaves to work the fields and reap in the huge profits.

But there was no shortage of useful idiots even back then who went out to fight (and die) for the rich who didn't give a single shit about them to begin with, to stay rich, if they heard a nice catch phrase or two and are told enough imagined wrongs.

Many people who fought for the south were slaves either in catering, artillery or infantry etc.

I think it's safe to say they were forced to, but some probably genuinely thought they were fighting for the rights for the privileges of being slaves (free housing and food etc.)

There are many perspectives you can look at the civil war for better or worse, but I think it's unanimous that nobody wants to go back to such a disgusting time bar a few nutjobs.

So...

Breath of the Wild, best Zelda game?

If I got a Switch before long.

How is it better then something like Dragons Dogma or Darksiders, if at all?

I'm not a Zelda fan.

Me neither. 🙂

Never finished OOT. But did like Link to the Past and Windwaker well enough, except for the parts where you get lost.

So most of the game.

Whoa... things aren't looking too good for the prosecution in Rittenhouse case. 🙂

I'm a metroid fanboy.

As Hank Hill would put it, I was playing a game where I was a girl!

This is a respectably nuanced view. I for one think slavery is disgusting in any manifestation, including modern slavery ala taxation candy inflation.

It does not matter how many Southerners personally owned slaves when 100% of the Confederacy tried to secede to keep them.

That isn't the only reason they wanted to secede tho, I would argue not even the primary one.

Kentucky stayed in the union. Ulysess S. Grant, what a guy. Deserved all the bourbon he got!

Yeah, that's correct. They were being unfairly overtaxxed to death.

Yeah kind of like the reason behind the revolutionary war. Weird people would defend themselves against theft, who woulda thunk ?

Yeah it's crazy I l know lol.

Another series where I liked everything except getting lost.

Funnily enough I thoughly enjoyed getting lost in Hollow Knight. So atmospheric think I enjoyed randomly wandering more then the super hard boss fights.

It is the stated reason in their articles of secession.
