I just find it irritating that the US is constantly criticised as some dystopian nightmare while Canada, or maybe Switzerland or Norway is considered a progressive dream, when the fact is the US takes in unskilled labor by the dozen, while Canada and Switzerland generally only take people who are rich or highly talented.

If you train unskilled labor, you get skilled labor soon enough.

Great. But your point was that America is not as easy to move to if you're poor or from developing nation. If you're from India you are from a developing nation and a good chance you are poor both relatively and objectively.

Maybe the people going to the US just want back some of the money the US has plundered from their countries over the last 200 years.

Actually, my point was Canada is near impossible to move to compared to America.

Yet 🇨🇦 is somehow admired among the very people who would never get in because they weren't highly skilled nor rich, and end up working in the US which they criticize.

If Canada is so great; why aren't they letting in the poor and tired huddled masses so they can enjoy the benefits of their health care and standards of living like the affluent do? And like they DO in the US? (It's the ones who can afford to migrate to Canada who get soaked by the health care system in the US, the poor refugee gets the same free health care poor citizens get)
