No. Freedom to speak isn't freedom from consequences. That's how we keep things fair.
On a board, ok.
In real life though. I say people are way too biased to try "cancelling" someone over opinion. That's why I love the fact Dave Chappelle got away with what he did. Because I think he believes he's being fair in mocking all people equally, while his critics really believe he crossed a line by who he included.
So seeing people just have to deal with their indignation without being able to retaliate is delicious to me.
I mean, not every slight needs to be redressed. There's a little thing called "Just take it and move on."
I just discovered this Youtuber:
Recommended because I watch Nate the Lawyer. The Right is so often decried as the domain of old white racists, yet I keep seeing more conservative channels created by minorities, and women, and not white or old.

That's... not the same thing.

I'm not.
But if I get banned for my speech, I'll at least demand all get banned equally. 😛
Which they HAVE. So no complaints from me.
But yeah, I'm all for free speed "absolutism", and arguing, or shouting.
Not like you who wants everyone banned for any little thing. You called me a Nazi, a homophobe, and all kinds of names.
Maybe try either giving people the benefit of the doubt, or even accept that someone can completely disagree with LGBTQ rhetoric without being a nazi.
But you won't, because shutting people down has worked so well. Until it hasn't.

Hey, *******, that is free speech. You get to say fascist and homophobic things, and I get to call you a fascist and a homophobe, you giant ****ing crybaby.
Except you also admitted to hammering the report button.
So I did the same thing, turn about being fair play.
I'd rather keep the report button out of it though.
Could do without the uncalled for open hostility as well, but that's your choice. I think you're overreacting, and not even attempting to argue in good faith.
Demonizing opposition is the lowest form of slander.
