they are free to own firearms with a license, though. as long as a citizen is not convicted, mentally ill, or a domestic abuser

still can't see how the anti-liberal and anti-gun control sentiments expressed by imp were relevant.

I agree.

I don't wish to speak for Imp, but I suspect his comment was aimed at those who want very strict gun control or those who want see guns banned altogether.

When Russia invades Ukraine, it's important to turn the subject into a discussion on American domestic policy.

My point was that it’s better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it, despite all those anti second amendment douche bags who think AR and AK rifles are the offspring of Hitler and Lucifer.

Imagine if America were being invaded (not that anyone is stupid enough to actually do so) and we didn’t have a means to protect ourselves as citizens.

Make Molotov cocktails and fear for our lives?

Aren't you already being invaded by Mexican cartels?

@impedickment

Ukraine law allows its citizens to own "non-fully automatic rifles and shotguns", which isn't all the different than here, right?

Along with extensive training on how to use, clean, maintain, and store those guns properly. Right?

I heard Canada gave the Ukraine 7.1 million worth of ammunition. It would last for 3 hours. Crazy

7.1 million Canadian dollars worth. Which is like $187.25 USD.

I hope you were joking, it's actually ~5.5 million USD. 😂

Have to agree with Imp. If I were a Ukrainian I would rather use an Ak-47 instead of harsh language. You can’t rely on anyone else to take care of your family.

In all seriousness, I own a Ruger AR 5.56 rifle and an H&K VP40 pistol.

I’m not a gun nut, but I support my Second Amendment.

I own a 12 gauge shotgun that I have never used. Wife’s stepdad passed and it was given to her. Im not a fan of guns at all. But if it comes to defending myself or family I would have no problem using it
