Its on the news right now and weve all been told its a terrorist attack.
Islamic Terrorists have always been highlighted as just that by the media and government. Theyre never downplayed.
Although granted they seem to have dropped the word “Islamic†in recent years. But we all know the kind of terrorism it is.

I dont remember the narrative changing at all there. Perhaps some muslims tried to argue that, but there wasnt much support for that side, except maybe not to reprint stuff for safety issues alone.

It was actually a big thing. It wasn’t just Muslims, it was everyday people.
Hell, South Park creators were pissed when Comedy Central censored Muhammad from being showed, when prior to the killings, they aired an episode of Muhammad without any censor.

Okay. But point is the Charlie Hebdo incident was a HUGE thing. It wasnt hidden in the slightest, neither the fact that it happened nor the fact that it was committed by terrorists in the name of Islam.
Response is a different issue.
Thats more akin to having a conversation about whether we should stop bombing muslim countries because it leads to terrorist attacks back on us. Or as Surtur would argue, just ban all muslim immigrants.
But no one argued we shouldnt hunt down the terrorists responsible. Or that it had nothing to do with Islam. That would absurd in that situation.

Jesus! This the west for god sake. Nothing is immune from ridicule. Charlie Hebdo happened because a religion steep in outdated and outright evil concept was mocked.
When they ask people in the west what they think, some defended the ****ers by saying you shouldn’t make fun of someone’s religion. People in the west are some of the weakest group alive in this age.
If you live in the west, there certain things you must accept, your religion being made off is one of them.
The fact that people on the west defended those ****ers proves how pathetic they really are. We even have celebrities defending the crap said religions allows to happen.

I think you got your timeline mixed up. The South Park censorship of Muhammed in 2010 was because of direct threats by a radical Muslim organization in the United States. They referenced the murder of Theo Van Gogh a few years before then. The Charlie Hebdo massacre was 5 years later.
I have to be honest, I don't remember much of a support of the terrorist attacks, a few prominent people made the point that you can condemn the acts, stand up for their free speech and still dislike Charlie Hebdo's of outrage satire. The main thing I remember was overwhelming support from the "Je Suis Charlie" movement.
