The Official Joe Biden for President Thread

Started by BrolyBlack38 pages

I’m not worried about much, political discourse has reached an all time low. I think if Trump wins it’s fine, if Biden wins I don’t think it’s going to be the end of the world. In no way should Hillary have been allowed to be president and have bill back in there. They would be calling the shots for years. While I think Biden is out of dough the democrats that are voting for him he’s far better than Hillary.

*out of touch

Well then, you REALLY shouldn't be worried at all 👆

Nothing much to do but relax until the election comes and debate about fictional characters. Glad to have had this discourse with everyone. See y'all on the forums

*Also my bad about the Mitt Romney misinformation. I must have fact checked wrong.

I do find it odd that Kamala accepted the VP ticket when she called Biden a racist but hey that was then, this is now.

Did you find it odd that Pence accepted the VP ticket after he had previously claimed that a man who is unfaithful to his wife is not morally fit to lead the country?

Yea that’s odd as well I guess it’s politics right?

You didn't have a problem before and I don't personally buy your new "whatever is fine" attitude, but hey, if it keep the discourse civil on the surface, I'm all for it.

You sounding like a fascist, basically your telling other people how to vote and if they dont vote the way you want, they are wrong

I guess you dont believe in democracy?

I don't believe in a democracy. I see how stupid and ignorant the average voter is. So uninformed and led by their tribalism and confirmation bias, including multiple active members on KMC, that their votes should not count.

Democracy is a terrible form of government.

Representative Democracies are an improvement but lead to corruption and an oligarchy which is what the US is, now.

The older I get, the more I want to disenfranchise all voters unless they can (1) prove they know how American Civics work and (2) they can prove they are aware of the voting records and political positions of the candidates that they can vote for.

Whatever is my new normal. Because it has to be. Living on the news and what someone says isn’t really the way to live. If Joe Bidens wins it’s not going to be the end of the world. I truly felt it would be if Hillary was elected based on her being a truly evil person. I don’t think Joe is truly evil and I don’t think Kamala is either. So if they win that’s the way it is.

DDM, that's elitism-like. Poverty has a direct correlation to lower levels of education.

Quite simply, democracy is the perfect form of government, but ONLY when that government is concerned with taking care of the basic welfare, healthcare, and ESPECIALLY education of it's citizens. The Panem and Circuses way it is operated now is obviously obsolete. The issue is that the internet makes education both easier due to information access and socio-cultural awareness, but also harder due to the ease of confirmation bias and procrastination via instant gratification.

Robtard, that's elitism. There are homeless people on the street who grew up on the streets who are far more politically savvy that most voters.

Also, due to living in the information age and this is no longer the 1700s, obtaining civic knowledge and understanding the political positions of candidates is as easy as access to the internet. I highly suggest you stop thinking all poor people are dumb and uneducated - that overlaps with racist thinking, as well.

Democracy means a system that is ripe for majoritarianism.

Representative Democracy means a system that is ripe for minoritarianism.

What you describe is a representative democracy with a system of reserved rights known as "inalienable rights" that cannot be infringed by the machinations of the representatives who are elected in that system. These are also known as "natural rights." However, as we've seen in the US, these natural rights are not upheld and what constitutes natural rights should evolve as the environment changes. Such as the fact that it should be a natural right for all citizens to have access to the internet (they do through our public libraries and free internet cafe shops).

But the US is still failing in that we are consistently infringing on the natural rights while also not "promot[ing] the general welfare."

I think I know why Blake loves Kamala so much now.

Kamala went after Biden hard during the debates. Now she has agreed to be his VP.

In his mind I guess he thinks Biden "tamed" her. Where once she was disrespectful to this white man now she is respectful. She has learned her place and Blake likes that.

🙄

Which is exactly something that candidates like Biden and Harris would be more willing to address than Trump, which is why they're getting my vote. Baby steps, dude.

Your elitism has been noted.

DDM, not everyone has the same access to this information regardless of it being 2020. You'd be punishing people for something they may not be able to control.

approximately 19 million Americans—6 percent of the population—still lack access to fixed broadband service at threshold speeds. In rural areas, nearly one-fourth of the population —14.5 million people—lack access to this service.

The United States is a Constitutional Republic and thank God that it is instead of being an actual democracy like many misinformed people wrongly think it is.

Republic >>>> democracy. Our founders understood that quite well.

This is a lie and it has been noted why your statement is a lie. You're the elitist who looks down on the poor and minorities by thinking they are too dumb to understand the current political landscape.
