Obama speaks!

Nah, we just don't think Obama speaking is some grand event lol as if we're all supposed to stop what we're doing and give him our full attention as if he were Moses or something as pathetic people like you tend to think he is.

He's a joke and the worst president at least in modern American history so I don't give a shit what he has to say about anything.

The only ones triggered are obviously people like you and Lestov who're upset that not everyone thinks Obama is some kind of messianic figure as sad people like y'all seem to think he is.

I didn't listen to his speech nor do I have any desire to but I'm pretty sure I know the gist of what he said:

"Orange man bad!" probably sums up his entire speech pretty well lol. In fact, that probably sums up the entire DNC "Anyone but Trump!" Convention.

Query: Do you think the RNC is going to invite Trump to speak on their behalf and on the behalf of their future candidates?

I don't think they will 🙂

He'll be dead. He's old and fat. And eats terribly.

You think Trump will be dead in 4, if not 8 years? Sure, possible.

Okay, on the premise that Trump hasn't died, do you think he'll be invited as a guess to future RNC conventions to speak about and promote future Republican candidates.

I don't think he'll be asked.

Possibly if he gets a second term. If he’s a one termer and the party moves away from his brand then no.

But I agree with ddm. He’ll likely be dead within 8 years.

If he's alive, 100% guarantee to be invited. His star power is winning GOP candidates their primaries. A lot can change after his second term, though.

A lot can change after his second term, and can you imagine the glory that will be his third term? It's gonna be epic.

Surt, you really need to learn basic stuff about the US and the Constitution.

Hint: See the 22nd Amendment

I don't think they will, they'll want to rebrand. But it's certainly possible you could be correct here. I'll remember and give you props if correct.

I do hope they do though as Trump's crippling levels of narcissism would have him making a ranting speech about himself while airing his grievances instead of focusing on whomever is the presidential nominee, as we've seen him do similar time and time again. eg his disastrous 2017 speech to the Boy Scouts

With the highest support among GOP voters since Reagan? Highly doubt they will shun Trump post-Trump Era.

And with the RNC uninviting people who went against the GOP grain like Romney? Yeah, current marching orders are the Trump train. The rabidness of the Trumpers is greater now than 2016 as you saw from that live chat for the press briefing. I mean, holy shit, that was scary. I am legit afraid of how fanatical they are getting.

We'll see, I still believe a huge rebranding will happen with the GOP, especially if/when Trump loses in 2020.

It is already in the works. That is why Paul Ryan retired. Because he wants to put enough distance between himself and Trump that he can run in 2024 and not be stained with the scarlet letter of Trump, Trumpism, and Trumpers.

I'll be interested to see what they want to rebrand into, they aren't typically known to be the empathetic party.

LOL. Compared to raging anti-Trump leftists our "rabidness" pales in comparison.

Yup. I said similar when he announced his resignation. Ryan still wants to be president and he doesn't want Trump's orange dorito stain dragging him down when he runs, so he wanted to put as much political distance between himself and his groveling for Trump.

"I felt trapped", "I had no choice". Um, you had a choice Ryan, you were speaker of the House, 2nd spot from the presidency. He's such a coward by only speaking out when he was out of office; his opponents will take him to task for that.

It will be revealed his cgi likeness with his fully simulated personality has been running the show.

It's not like dems haven't rebranded, so I'd avoid tossing around that word like it's an insult 👆
