Speaking of wanking, the way IM has been going he'd win in a comic fight. In terms of raw power and forum fight, it's Firelord.

Heat is nothing to Tony and he's one of the best energy absorbers, too.

His armor is incredibly versatile and powerful, you keep forgetting that.

Stilt mentioned Iron Man energy absorbing. In the 70's Iron Man drained some of the Power Cosmic from Surfer and amped himself to a double KO draw. I don't know if that was an outlier or just a good showing for him energy absorbing, but I have a hard time seeing it not helping in newer armors.

Also I remember seeing an argument for Iron Man winning a lot of fights he shouldn't. Some were circumstantial it wouldn't apply in most situations, but the point was how good Tony is at finding ways to win when he shouldn't. It was a pretty compelling argument.

I've been saying it forever, but keeping Iron Man in the "high-meta" tier is laughable... Aside from his versatility, no high-meta can consistently deal with Heralds like he's done over the years.

Iron Man is one of those weird characters who seems to deal with higher versatility better and one-dimensional characters worse. As in, he seems to do worse against the Hulks of the world, compared to the heralds of the world.
