The Next Supreme Court Justice

@surtur You literally did when you said: "I just don't actually think that the fears about abortion and healthcare will come to pass." I hope you're correct.

We'll see on the ACA soon enough though. Best of luck there, even though you did it to yourself should the ACA be struck down.

No, saying I don't think something will happen does not mean I am saying I do or do not want that thing to happen. Nor is it making it about my own personal situation. It was about what I think ACB would do.

And as noted, I hope you're correct, but neither of us has a crystal ball and we don't know how ACB would rule on any given ruling until it actually comes to pass.

Maybe she becomes RGB 2.0 or maybe she tries to close all the doors RGB opened which allowed Barrett to become one of the nine most powerful people in the first place or maybe something else. I dunno.

You're overall correct as usual, but you're not factoring in that Republicans will still use that boogeyman to rally in the low intellects, even if it's not really an issue anymore. They'll try and angle to make abortion illegal on a federal level "millions of babies being murdered in the evil liberal states", granted, they'll probably never actually go for it, but they'll use it.

But yeah, it will be a far less effective banner if Roe V. Wade is abolished.

Legal abortions and Planned Parenthood are good things. It is best when coupled with state-sponsored and run sex-education that includes free contraceptives.

If Christians care about life the most, then they'd support avoiding pregnancies' that would potentially result in an abortion. That's the loss of a human life and constitutes murder, right? So they should avoid the conception of that life with cost-effective means such as free contraceptives and science based sex-education that prevents the pregnancies to begin with.

Planned Parenthood prevents far more pregnancies than it aborts, by the facts. Sure, a 'super Christian' would believes it is morally reprehensible to take even a single innocent human life so any abortions are murder to them. So legal abortions should be allowed because illegal abortions, by the facts, results in a SHITLOAD of deaths of young women, each year, around the world.

My position is based purely on science and the saving of the most life and most money. This is the technocratic approach and no other types of opinions are equal to mine. Any other opinion that is not the same as mine, that operates within the system that we all live, is inferior to my position. I literally have the best, fact-based, greatest life-saving, greatest cost-saving, position.

Only the specific nuances of my position would change based on new high quality research such as the types of contraceptives that should be used, how to best teach young adults how to safely engage in sex or safely manage sexual relationships (this is marketing and PR stuff), etc.

At the hearing today one democrat didn't even ask any questions he just held up posters about "dark money".

Bless their hearts. This is adorable.

Speaking of people holding things, I just picture Jim Acosta outside the Walter Reed Medical Center last week holding a boombox.

Most of the aborted babies would end up black and brown, future democrat voters.

Republican: *Internal conflict intensifies*

That's an internal conflict for both sides I'd think.

A lot of the racist democrats would rather lose an election than increase the black and brown population.

If Democrats are so racist, and you are opposed to racism, then why do you support and vote for them?

Yup true

So triggered you're replying to yourself now. Damn.

Feinstein Destroyed Her.

The only genuine things I saw from her were:

The silent screems and the 'oh god' 'oh shit' 'ouch!' 'totally got me there' facial expressions she was making.

Completely forgotten what her name is. I'll just call her 'Judge for hire' or 'Judge Loophole' or 'Empty Vessel'

She has great knowledge...

If it were up to me I'd have asked her: Tell us about your self

And ignored everything she would have procceeded to say about her educatiion, career path, etc

And then said:

Aside from your work, education, away from the court, away from public office etc... tell us about your self

This nomination.

The GOP might as well nominate an alexa unit.

I'm pointing out it's an internal conflict for both sides. Feel free to argue why it isn't 🙂

Easy: Because Democrats tend to be Pro-Choice and support both a woman's right to choose and have control over her own body.

This isn't hard, Surt. Do better.

Nope cuz i can say how they love manipulating black and brown folk into voting for them. So the loss of those precious precious votes would cause conflict.

Trust me when I say: put down the shovel.

Well you could say that and it's fine, as you're entitled to your feelings and being incorrect.

You want me to stop burying you it seems.

Could have just said "no you!" and saved yourself the time.

No one runs away from an argument they're winning, sport.
