It's more the hypocrisy that is the issue. Those celebrating would be crying and complaining if Joe Biden got the virus and conservatives rejoiced.

They preach that they are the true party of empathy, etc. but in the end they aren't.

They will just deflect or practice whataboutism here(look what trump said about Hillary!!!) and that just further shows the hypocrisy, cuz they sure do throw a fit when they feel conservatives are deflecting or using whataboutism.

As I said before, whenever they are given the chance to rise above the behavior they claim the other side exhibits they just sink to the same level and then blame Trump and his supporters for them doing it.

If, by some small chance, Covid made Trump unable to continue as president and Pence took over, how would that make the election look in November? Does Pence have a strong following, or will the people voting for him likely just be doing so because they hate Democrats?

Pence is definitely nowhere near as popular as Trump is but I would assume that most people who were planning on voting for Trump would also vote for the guy whom Trump personally chose to be his VP.

Also, yes, considering how the alternative would be sleepy-eyed Joe who bows to the radical left crazies because he is too weak to stand up to them Pence would be infinitely preferable to Trump voters than Biden would.

I heard an update earlier today that the doctors are highly confident that Trump will fully recover though.

Pence would get massacred, imo. Would do well with evangelicals and traditional republicans and lose everyone else. The thing to remember about Trump is he has supporters who wouldn’t otherwise vote for the Republican Party.
