Yeah, but you also have many people who used to be democrats but have joined the "Walkaway Movement" (which is getting pretty big) because of how crazy the Democrat party has become embracing far left ideologies. I still think the Democrats would lose, just not as bad as they would in a fair election against Trump.

It's hard to say. I really wouldn't like Pence's chances. Those who would vote for Trump but wouldn't normally vote for repubs certainly wouldn't go vote for Biden though.
I suppose if a big enough chunk of Trumps base decided Pence could continue the "legacy" he might have a chance, but he'd need some damn good PR and he'd need Trump himself to endorse him.
